Privacy Policy

How Sprint In Tech handles information across the Library Monitor website, Library Monitor app and Library Mate app.

Effective: 18 July 2026

Library Monitor is operated by Sprint In Tech. This policy describes the information used to provide the platform to library owners, their staff and students. It applies when you use librarymonitor.in, the Library Monitor Android app, Library Mate, or related support and communication services.

1. Information we collect

Library owner and account information

When a library registers, we collect details such as the library name, owner name, mobile number, email address, address, profile image, referral code and account credentials. We also keep authentication tokens, login-security records and password-reset or OTP records needed to protect and recover the account.

Student information

Student accounts and library records may include the student’s name, mobile number, profile image, account credentials and the library memberships associated with that student. A library owner may add a student to the library, while a student may separately create or use a Library Mate account.

Library operations

The service stores records created while running a library, including seats and seat direction, membership cards, start and end dates, time periods or shifts, advance bookings, paid or pending amounts, due dates, transaction history, attendance check-in and check-out times, attendance summaries, notices, feedback and library details shown to students.

Content and programme information

If you use these features, we process success-story titles, descriptions and images; motivation posts, images and likes; referral codes, links, QR codes, referral attribution, rewards and wallet entries; and subscription plan, seat count, quote, discount, trial, status and reference information.

Device, diagnostics and usage information

We may receive an app’s Firebase Cloud Messaging token, app version, device and browser information, IP address, request time, security events and server logs. The Android apps use Firebase Crashlytics for crash and reliability diagnostics. Dedicated Firebase Analytics is not enabled in the current Android builds; we do not describe crash reports or essential server logs as advertising analytics.

2. How we use information

  • register, authenticate and recover Monitor and Mate accounts;
  • connect students with their library cards, seats, dues and attendance;
  • operate subscriptions, trials, quotes, referral rewards and wallet records;
  • deliver requested notifications, OTPs and card-expiry reminders;
  • display success stories and motivation content to authorised users;
  • respond to feedback, support requests and account-deletion requests;
  • detect misuse, investigate failures, maintain security and improve reliability; and
  • meet lawful obligations and enforce the Terms & Conditions.

3. Notifications and WhatsApp

Library owners can send notices to students. The service also supports Firebase push notifications and configured WhatsApp Business communications, including OTPs and card-expiry reminders. WhatsApp delivery may require the recipient’s mobile number, approved template details, delivery status and message identifiers to be processed through Meta’s services. Direct WhatsApp links opened by a user are also subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy terms. You can control app notification permission through your device and contact us about service communications, although essential security messages may still be required to operate your account.

4. When information is shared

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only where needed to run the service:

  • Between a library and its students: each side sees the membership, dues, attendance and contact information required for that library relationship.
  • Google Firebase: for Cloud Messaging and Crashlytics diagnostics.
  • Meta/WhatsApp: when WhatsApp messages or templates are used.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers: to host the application, database, media and network services.
  • Authorities or advisers: where disclosure is legally required or reasonably necessary to protect users, Sprint In Tech or the service.

The current code does not integrate a card-payment gateway and does not collect payment-card or bank-login credentials. Library dues and subscription payment statuses in the platform are operational records entered or confirmed through the available service workflow.

5. Security

We use access tokens, role-specific API checks, password hashing, OTP controls, request throttling, security logging and restricted administrative access. We also take reasonable steps to protect stored records and uploaded media. No internet service can promise absolute security, so users must protect their device, password and OTP and notify us promptly if an account may have been compromised.

6. Retention and account deletion

We keep information while an account or library relationship is active and for as long as reasonably needed for service operation, security, dispute handling, backups and legal obligations. OTP and security records are intended for short-lived verification or abuse prevention. Message, attendance, transaction and referral records may need to remain for operational accountability.

Monitor and Mate users can request account deletion through the profile/account flow by confirming their password. Deletion removes the account and directly linked records according to the current data relationships. Some records may remain temporarily in backups or may be retained where they are not directly linked, where another user’s legitimate record depends on them, or where law and fraud prevention require retention. For assistance, contact Sprint In Tech.

7. Your choices and rights

You may review or update available profile details, correct inaccurate information, manage device notification permission, request account deletion, and ask us about access to or handling of your personal information. We may verify your identity before acting on a request. Library owners are responsible for responding to students about records the library entered; Sprint In Tech will assist where the request concerns the platform itself.

8. Children’s privacy

The service does not collect date of birth and is not designed for unsupervised use by children. If a student is under 18, the library and the student’s parent or lawful guardian should ensure that the account and library records are created and used with appropriate authorisation. Please contact us if you believe a child’s information was provided without proper authority so that we can review and, where appropriate, remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the product, service providers or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website, app or account contact details where appropriate.
