Using the service

Terms & Conditions

Terms for the Library Monitor website, Library Monitor app and Library Mate app operated by Sprint In Tech.

Effective: 18 July 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form an agreement between Sprint In Tech (“we”, “us”) and each person or organisation using Library Monitor, Library Mate, librarymonitor.in or the related APIs and support services (together, the “Service”).

1. Acceptance

By registering, signing in or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for a library or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

A library account must be created and managed by a person authorised to operate that library. Students must provide accurate account information. A student under 18 should use Library Mate and participate in a library’s records only with the involvement and permission of a parent or lawful guardian and the relevant library.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate information, keep your mobile number and other details current, protect your password and OTP, and prevent unauthorised access to your device. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report suspected misuse. Accounts, tokens and referral codes must not be sold, shared for abuse or used to impersonate another person or library.

4. Responsibilities of library owners

Library Monitor helps an owner manage seats, student profiles, memberships, shifts, dues, attendance, bookings, notices and related records. The library—not Sprint In Tech—is responsible for:

  • having authority to collect and enter student information;
  • keeping membership, seat, attendance, due and payment records accurate;
  • using student contact details only for legitimate library operations;
  • obtaining appropriate permission for minors and uploaded images;
  • reviewing messages before sending them; and
  • honouring the prices, access periods and other commitments it makes directly to students.

The Service is an operational recordkeeping tool. Sprint In Tech does not run the user’s library, decide student eligibility, collect a library’s student dues, or resolve the library’s independent commercial disputes.

5. Responsibilities of students

Students must use Library Mate honestly, keep their account secure, use attendance check-in and check-out only for themselves, and raise any incorrect card, due, seat or attendance entry with the relevant library. Information displayed in Library Mate reflects records maintained through the library relationship; the library remains the first point of contact for corrections to those records.

6. Subscriptions, trials and billing

Library subscriptions may be priced by plan, seat count and duration and may include an introductory trial, duration discount or bonus days. The current quote, benefits, validity dates and amount presented or confirmed for the subscription apply to that order. Plan configuration, prices and trial periods may change for future purchases, but changes do not rewrite a confirmed active period unless agreed or required by law.

The current Service records subscription quotes, payment status and references but does not itself integrate a card-payment gateway. Where payment is arranged with Sprint In Tech, the communicated payment instructions and confirmation apply. Taxes, renewal, cancellation or refund terms will be stated with the applicable offer or invoice. A subscription may expire or lose paid-plan access when its validity ends or an agreed payment remains incomplete.

7. Referral programme

Eligible library owners may receive a referral code, link or QR code. Reward visibility, qualification events, values and availability are controlled by the programme settings shown at the relevant time. A registration or first purchase may need to be correctly attributed to the referral code before a reward becomes eligible. Rewards may remain pending while eligibility is checked.

Referral wallet credits are service programme balances, not cash or a bank deposit unless a specific offer expressly says otherwise. We may withhold, reverse or cancel rewards linked to duplicate, self-referred, misleading, automated, refunded or fraudulent activity. We may modify or end the programme prospectively after giving reasonable notice through the Service.

8. Communications

You may receive in-app notices, push notifications and, where configured, WhatsApp messages such as OTPs and card-expiry reminders. Library owners are responsible for the content and lawful basis of notices they initiate. Delivery depends on device permissions, network availability, valid contact details and third-party messaging services, so a message is not guaranteed to arrive immediately.

9. Content you submit

You retain ownership of lawful text and images you submit in profiles, feedback, motivation posts or success stories. You grant Sprint In Tech a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and present the Service. You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions, including permission from identifiable people in uploaded images. We may remove content that violates these Terms or creates legal, privacy or safety risk.

10. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • access another user’s account or records without authority;
  • upload unlawful, misleading, abusive, infringing or malicious content;
  • send spam or use student contact details outside legitimate library communication;
  • manipulate attendance, dues, subscription, referral or reward records;
  • probe, bypass or interfere with authentication, APIs, rate limits or security controls;
  • introduce malware, scrape the Service at unreasonable scale or disrupt availability;
  • reverse engineer or copy the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
  • use Library Monitor or Library Mate for an unlawful purpose.

11. Intellectual property

Library Monitor, Library Mate, the website, APIs, software, design, branding and Sprint In Tech materials are owned by or licensed to Sprint In Tech. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership of the platform or its branding.

12. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service reliable, but maintenance, internet failures, device limitations, third-party outages and security events can interrupt access. Features may be corrected, improved or retired as the product develops. We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption and communicate material changes where practical, but continuous or error-free availability is not guaranteed.

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Indian law, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. Users remain responsible for checking important operational records and keeping any records independently required for tax, accounting, employment or regulatory purposes.

Sprint In Tech will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss caused by inaccurate user-entered records, disputes between a library and student, or failures of networks, devices, Firebase, WhatsApp or other services outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from fraud or wilful misconduct.

14. Suspension, termination and deletion

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address non-payment, security risk, unlawful activity, misuse or a serious breach of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. Users may stop using the Service and can use the available account-deletion flow. Deletion and retention are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please first contact Sprint In Tech so we can try to resolve a concern in good faith. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights or jurisdiction that cannot be excluded, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts in India.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms when the Service or applicable requirements change. Updated Terms will be posted with a new effective date. If a change materially affects existing users, we may also notify them through the Service or registered contact details. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means acceptance of the revision.
